My big pet peeve....water supply. People spend thousands preparing themselves and always seem to overlook a most crucial item....water supply.

Water, next to air VITAL. As to that, I too have noticed there are sites that say get a filter and more or less leave it at that. Personally, A steady, Reliable source of POTABLE water is vital. This means you can drink it. It may have minerals in it (eg Florida Irrigation water like in Alas, Babylon) but you can drink it and NOT have to boil it first. Second source is water that can be made potable. Water Filter systems are great! Using purification tabs = potable against "bugs" but not against things like heavy metals or the like.  Good post, thanks

I carry water and carry the means to filter, treat and boil it. How much water I take with me depends on my method of transportation.
