Spring is here
Time to air out the house, get the garden tilled and the seeds planted. Time for maintenance on snow blowers before putting them away and on lawn mowers before breaking them out

Canuck laid up - delays in membership approval, etc
« on: March 30, 2009, 09:49:29 AM »

I messed up my knee last week. I've been pretty much confined to bed, really can't get around worth a damn and can't make it downstairs to my PC. I'm using a laptop but hate it and can't get to all of the email I need to approval people for memberships and such.

Normally when my knee gets jacked up it goes back to being usable within 15 minutes or so. I just scheduled an appointment with my doc for next Monday, can't get it any sooner due to flooding in the Fargo area. I don't I messed it up that bad but I sure did pinch things. I can stand on the bum knee for a bit but not enough to walk or go downstairs yet. Have called the doc to see about getting a refill on the pain meds and some muscle relaxers ... my girl friend says my leg is all knotted up. My other leg is sore from taking all the work.

Dear Canuck,

Sorry to hear about your knee.  I recommend in addition to your pain killers and muscle relaxers, you get a large tube of arnica gel from a health food store.  A friend of mine used it after surgery on her shoulder and the doctors were amazed at how quickly she healed.  I have also used arnica gel for back pain and found it very helpful.  Hope you heal up quickly!

Yours truly,

Laura G.
