Spring is here
Time to air out the house, get the garden tilled and the seeds planted. Time for maintenance on snow blowers before putting them away and on lawn mowers before breaking them out

Perspective Nov 2009
« on: November 25, 2009, 01:09:04 AM »

With all of the not so good in the World. I offer this humble thought, regardless of where you live, there is a time, maybe not now, but some time... Give thanks for what you have here and now. thus said, Happy Thanksgivings Day to those who participate and blessings to one and all, no matter where you are, or what you are dealing with now and any day.

Happy Thanksgiving, Grog.

There is still time to start putting food and other supplies away. Every meal helps.

Very true, and yet no matter of the individual belief or situation, even in a IAWTH (ItAllWenttoHell) situation, giving an situational break with some sort of acknowledgment of things are okay, or even better, but, there is STILL Room to improve. Perfection is not an overnight process, and neither is the situational Analysis Paralysis.

I suspect even the old "Clan Lairds" etal, had moments of celebration, and still were concerned about lasting for a few more years....... at least the good ones.

preps are always good, being able to celebrate from time to time, based on success, even in hard times, ah... now we begin to rise out of what ever mire we preceive we are  in, and make things better.. some how... Thanks for the response and the keeping to the 'path' as it were...

A little bit of celebration is never a bad thing. This is why I suggest, as an option, a couple of the airline sized bottles of your favorite booze in a BOB.

Hard liquor will keep longer than beer so putting some away for celebrations is a good idea. Beer and wine making supplies could also be kept. Anything that can be a treat and that will keep well would be good for a celebration. A small celebration once you get to your bug out spot, one at planting and one at harvest are good points. Having a bit of down time to relax and spend with friends is needed to keep people from going stir crazy.
