Damn Good Free Beef
« on: February 15, 2015, 05:43:27 PM »

I got lucky the other day as I have a friend who works in one of the local feed yards bring me a fresh front quarter of beef. Seems like the stupid steer decided to try and head butt the dozer that was cleaning the pens an broke his neck. My buddy who is the foreman bled him out and cut him into quarters. They have about 40,000 head on feed and have had a number of broken legs that they butchered so every ones deep freeze's were full. Yippee I cut it up this morning and got 4 huge roasts that are about 10 lbs at least each plus about 40 lbs of steaks and the rest I will grind into burger. Yep damn good score.
